Bad Nauheim, 8/28/2019. Sadara Chemical Company (Sadara) has achieved another milestone by successfully passing the Creditors Reliability Test (CRT): The largest chemical complex in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, built in one phase by joint venture partners Saudi Aramco and The Dow Chemical Company, has passed the stress test of operating at full capacity for two months with flying colors. The superlative test run covered all 26 large-scale plants in an area spanning 6 km2, which corresponds to approximately 575 soccer fields. The chemical complex is expected to supply over 3 million tons of plastics and specialty chemicals per year.

Special attention was therefore paid to the software logistics processes, which passed the Creditors Reliability Test Phase with ease. The logistics management system inconsoLMS implemented by the logistics software specialist inconso in cooperation with Coperion GmbH overcame all challenges during the 60 day test run at full operation. These processes included the logistics processes for internal transports (yard management system), container management and provision (container management system) as well as the filling and packing processes for solids and liquids and their storage in the Packaging Center.

During the festivities on March 14, 2019 in Jubail Industrial City II, Saudi Arabia, the high level of dedication of all logistics partners was acknowledged. “Passing the CRT on the first attempt is an outstanding achievement for such a large, fully integrated industrial complex. It could not have been accomplished without the hard work, loyalty and commitment of our people,” emphasized Sadara CEO Dr. Faisal M. Al-Faqeer.
