engelbert strauss and inconso Continue Collaboration

The first milestone has been reached: Europe‘s leading manufacturer of workwear, engelbert

strauss, is starting the realization phase for the new logistics center in Schlüchtern, Germany.

Together with inconso, Pierau Planung, BLG LOGISTICS and the TGW Logistics Group, they are making the largest structural investment in the Main-Kinzig district. They are constructing another production, logistics and sales location, which will combine, among other things, a 20 m high shuttle warehouse, an automatic storage and retrieval system (ASRS) and Pick-by-Light workstations under the roof of a 50 m high building.

The cooperation between the workwear manufacturer and inconso continues. Only recently, the material flow control at the Biebergemünd site was replaced by inconsoMFS for controlling the automatic storage and retrieval system (ASRS), high bay pallet warehouse and conveyor technology for picking and shipping. Collaboration continues at the Schlüchtern location. Components for about one million flexible storage locations are to be created, which are to
be controlled via the warehouse management system inconsoWMS and the material flow system inconsoMFS. At the same time, inconso will commence the implementation of the supply chain execution system inconsoSCE in Frankfurt a. M. to prepare a seamless integration of the
new logistics center.
