Greiner Bio-One Relies on inconso for Warehouse Expansion

The expansion of the SAP Logistics Execution System with an SAP based material flow system in Frickenhausen is finished: Greiner Bio-One (GBO) GmbH went live with its warehouse complex in Frickenhausen, which has been expanded with a new automated high bay warehouse.

The company, which specializes in the development, production and sale of quality plastic products for laboratories, can now handle shipping, production supply and disposal with the warehouse complex equipped with SAP system components.

Particular attention was paid to the seamless integration of the 29 m high high bay warehouse at the Frickenhausen location, which is set up for 100 store-ins and storeouts per hour. The 2011 inconso template based on SAP LE-WM was implemented in the logistics center at the GBO headquarters in Kremsmünster (A) in 2011. As in Kremsmünster, the new processes for integrating the automatic warehouse system in Frickenhausen were tested in advance using an innovative emulation system. The new heart of the logistics center with room for over 12,000 pallets could already be integrated into the existing process structure during the planning and test phase. The move from the interim warehouse and filling of the automate pallet warehouse were successfully completed within a few days. Aberle GmbH, a company of Körber Logistics
Systems and sister company of inconso, constructed the new automatic high bay warehouse.
